If you had trouble signing in and can’t access your account, you’ll need to reset your password.

  • Tell us your email address and select Send email

You'll receive an email with your username and a link to reset your password.

Common sign-in issues

Trouble signing in? Check out these tips for resolving common sign-in issues:

Username: This may be your email address and differ from your school or institution username. Make sure you’re using the email address you chose as your username, which may be different from the email address in your app+ profile.

Password: This is case-sensitive and has at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 number, and at least 8 characters. Select SHOW to see your password as you enter it.

Get username and reset password: Select Forgot username or password. You'll receive an email with your username and a link to reset your password for each app account associated with your email address. Reset the password only for the account you want to use.

If you already have a app account but are asked to register, select register and follow the instructions.

Can I sign in to app+ with my app username and password?

You’ll use the same credentials to access:

  • eTextbook
  • app+ app
  • app.com
  • MyLab
  • Mastering
  • Revel
  • Channels

If you already have a app username and password, you’re all set.

To reset your password, select Trouble signing in? You'll receive an email with your username and a link to reset your password for each app account associated with your email address. Reset the password only for the account you want to use.

Can’t sign in and page refresh

If you’ve tried signing in and the page refreshes with the username and password fields empty, you need to accept app cookies in your browser.

Your browser might be blocking cookies. Cookies work behind the scenes to allow the app website to operate as intended.

Reset your password but didn’t get a reset email

Did you try to reset your password but didn’t receive an email from us? For security reasons, if the email address you entered isn’t one you’ve used with a app product, no email will be sent.

What to do

If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, try the following:

  1. Check your spam folder
    • To ensure you receive password reset emails from app, update your spam filter to allow emails from <notifications@pearson.com>.
  2. Resubmit the request to reset your password using a different email address than you may have used to create a app account
    • If you are aware that a typo was made while registering your account, please chat with us through the app Virtual Assistant from wherever you are in app+.
  3. If you are attempting to register and receive the message, “You may already have an account using ______@email.com” it means you have probably used the email address to register in the past.

Contact app support if needed

Need more password reset help? Just use the app Virtual Assistant from any screen. If you are transferred to an agent, you'll want to have the following info handy:

  • Your name and nicknames you may have used

My eTextbook isn’t in my library

If you purchased an eTextbook, but it is not in your library, here are a few things to check:

  • Did you receive a confirmation email from us when you subscribed? If not, your subscription may not have successfully processed.
  • Did you sign in with the same username you used when you subscribed? (You can find this in your app+ welcome email.)
  • If your initial 6-month subscription term has ended and you didn't extend your subscription, you’ll no longer have access to the eTextbook and it will not appear in your library.

Troubleshooting & browser settings

Date or clock error

Make sure the date and time on your laptop or mobile device are correct for your time zone. If they’re not set correctly, an error appears and you can’t continue. If your clock is set manually (not from a network or Internet server), make sure it comes close to World Clock time.
