- eTextbooks are digital textbooks that include study tools like enhanced search, highlighting and notes, customizable flashcards, and audio options. You can also use the app+ app to study on the go.
- Study Prep is a video platform available in the app+ app. It offers thousands of explanations, solutions, and practice problems in over 20 subjects to assist with homework and exam preparation. When you upload your syllabus, the videos are customized to your course, and tutors guide you through solutions. Plus, for some titles, interactive AI-powered videos and summaries are included. A social community also helps you understand lessons.
As of right now, app+ is available in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
Students in the US can purchase app+ subscriptions on the app+ site or on app.com.
Students in the UK can purchase app+ products on app.com. app+ is not sold as a subscription in the UK.

eTextbooks are digital textbooks that give you access to upgraded study tools, including enhanced search, highlights and notes, customizable flashcards, and audio options to simplify studying. Plus, you can learn on-the-go with the app+ app. When you choose to purchase a app+ eTextbook, you can either sign up for a fixed 6-month access period or lifetime access.
If you select the fixed 6-month access period, you can choose to pay in 6 equal monthly payments or just make one up-front payment. After checkout, you'll be able to use your eTextbook in app+.
If you select lifetime access, you'll make just one up-front payment for your eTextbook access. After checkout, you'll have access to your eTextbook for a set access term of 5 years. During this 5-year access term, you will have full web access to your eTextbook, as well as access through the app+ mobile and desktop apps. Web access ends after 5 years, but you can continue to access through the app+ apps as long as you have already downloaded your title before your initial 5-year access period ends.
If you need your eTextbook for longer than 6 months, you can extend your access by going to the Manage access page in My account. Select Extend access before the initial 6-month access period ends. If you bought lifetime access to an eTextbook in app+, you won’t be able to extend your access, but you can purchase a new eTextbook.
First, follow the instructions in the email you received from your campus store. Then, visit redeem.pearsonplus.com, enter your 24-character access code, and click Redeem.
If you purchase an eTextbook in app+ for a fixed 6-month access period, it works like an eTextbook rental. Your purchase includes instant access to your eTextbook, including study tools like flashcards and audio support.
Lifetime access is a one-time purchase of an eTextbook in app+ for a set access term of 5 years. During this 5-year access term, you will have full web access to your eTextbook, as well as access through the app+ mobile and desktop apps. Web access ends after 5 years, but you can continue to access through the app+ apps as long as you have already downloaded your title before your initial 5-year access period ends.

If you made an up-front payment for your initial 6-month access, your payments will switch to monthly.
If you bought lifetime access to an eTextbook in app+, you won’t be able to extend your access, but you can purchase a new eTextbook.
We will use your initial payment method (credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay) to extendyour access. To ensure your learning is uninterrupted each month, please keepyour payment method up to date. You can find more information about updating your payment method in our payments FAQs.
If your payment method fails, we'll send you an email with instructions for how to update it. To avoid the next payment charge, select Cancel access on the Manage access page inMy account before your next scheduled payment date.
