    EFLの教室では、学习者に本物のコミュニケーションを英語で楽しむ機会を提供することが大切です。教科書のダイアログをAさん役とBさん役に分かれて読み合わせをしたり、暗記したりではなく、本当に聞きたいことを相手に尋ね、本当に言いたいことを相手に伝える、自然なやり取りの機会です。思わず聞いてみたくなる、思わず言いたくなるという気持ちが学习者に芽生え、会話を楽しむ、という状況は、どうすれば作り出すことができるでしょうか。
    私が最もおすすめしたい効果的な方法は、「学习者がお互いに英語で意見を述べ合うこと」です。なぜか？意見交換は「ドリル」や「練習」と違って本物のコミュニケーションだからです。そして、本物のコミュニケーションは楽しいのです。実際、学习者は自分の見解を相手に伝え、相手の考えを知ることが楽しいと言います。また、意見を述べるためには思考?判断力が必要で、彼らの知的レベルにも合っています。それは言葉の深い習得にも繋がります。
    でも、英語で意見を述べるなんて難しい、と思われますか？いいえ、大丈夫です！適切な教材と指導法があれば、初級の学习者でさえ英語での意見の交換を楽しめます。日本の若者は意見を持たないとか、人と違う見解を示したがらない、という人もいますが、そんなことはありません。私は日本の学校で長年教えていますが、学生や生徒は意見交換を楽しみます。人の見解を知りたいと思い、意外かもしれませんが、人と異なる考えを示すことをためらいません。

    ただし、学习者に自分の意見や考えを言いたくさせるには、「コツ」が必要です。どのような「コツ」なのでしょうか？3つご紹介したいと思います。????

    Myth #1: You will learn more quickly
