They will discuss a set of progressive worksheets created specifically for Briggs Calculus, with additional precalculus support, and three new AI Features available this fall.

Ksenia Kitaeva, Professor of Mathematics, Napa Valley College

Ksenia Kitaeva is a tenured mathematics professor at Napa Valley College, teaching a full range of mathematics courses, from Pre-Calculus to Calculus series, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, for over fifteen years. Ms. Kitaeva was an engaged member of the Basic Skills Committee, Student Success Standards Committee, Planning Committee, Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Committee, and Faculty Coach Committee and served as a Math Success Center Coordinator and STEM Coordinator.

Ms. Kitaeva graduated from Samara State Aerospace University (SSAU), Russia, with a Master of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation. Founded in 1942, SSAU prepares engineers for the aircraft industry. Currently, the University is the leading institute of higher education of federal value. The SSAU is a large scientific center that conducts fundamental and applied research and performs development work, like the University of California system.

Ms. Kitaeva is in her third year pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of Arizona Global Campus. With a foundation in mathematics, she is interested in performing quantitative research to investigate the predictive relationship between success rates in Calculus I and Calculus II courses and STEM attrition. She plans to incorporate her extensive teaching and tutoring experience to focus her research on community college mathematics students.

Evan St. Cyr, Commercial Product Manager, ÃÛÌÒapp Higher Ed.

Evan St. Cyr is ÃÛÌÒapp’s Commercial Product Manager for Calculus and has been with ÃÛÌÒapp for 13 years. Evan has a B.S. in mathematics and M.S. in education from the University of Oregon. Before joining ÃÛÌÒapp, he taught math courses across middle school, high school and community college in Eugene, OR where he currently resides.
