Mark Young

Dr. Mark Young

Mark E. Young is professor emeritus at the University of Central Florida. For more than 20 years, he worked as a therapist in various settings including community mental health, college counseling centers, corrections, and private practice. He has published more than 40 articles and book chapters in the counseling field and has garnered more than six million dollars in research funding for the UCF Marriage and Family Research Institute which he co-founded. He is the author of five textbooks including the widely used, Learning the Art of Helping, Counseling and Therapy for Couples, and Counseling Today. Dr. Young has been honored with a number of awards for his work and in 2012 was named American Counseling Association Fellow.
