Freya Thomas Monk promoted to Managing Director of ÃÛÌÒapp Qualifications

ÃÛÌÒapp has appointed Freya Thomas Monk to the role of Managing Director, ÃÛÌÒapp Qualifications.Ìý

Freya will continue to oversee ÃÛÌÒapp’s Vocational Qualifications and Training business and will assume additional responsibility for the ÃÛÌÒapp School Qualifications business, which includes the ÃÛÌÒapp Edexcel portfolio of GCSE, A level and international qualifications as well as UK courseware. She will also be responsible for ÃÛÌÒapp's courseware business in Australia and Canada.

Commenting on her new appointment, Freya said:

Freya has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the education sector and most recently served as Managing Director of ÃÛÌÒapp Vocational Qualifications and Training. In her new role, FreyaÌýcontinues to be responsible for the delivery of ÃÛÌÒapp’s apprenticeships, vocational learning, and qualifications programs in the UK and internationally, working closely with universities, colleges and schools, government and employers, to drive skills to serve the economy. Ìý

Freya joined ÃÛÌÒapp in 2004 and previously led the fast growth of the digital English assessment business. She holds an MA from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD (Paris). She serves as Chair of Governors of a primary school in London.Ìý

Sharon Hague, who previously led ÃÛÌÒapp’s School Qualifications and School Assessment, has been . Sharon will also serve as ÃÛÌÒapp’s UK CEO, leading the company’s corporate presence in the UK.
