Signing in and accessing app+

If you’re having trouble signing in and can’t access your account, you’ll need to reset your password:

  • Click the Trouble signing in? link on the sign in screen
  • Tell us your email address and select Send email

You'll receive an email with your username and a link to reset your password.

Note: If you purchased an eTextbook or Study Prep in the past on the US app+ site, please create a new account on the United Kingdom app.com site to make a purchase or access your products.

You’ll need a few things to sign in to app+:

Username: This may be your email address and differ from your school or institution username. Make sure you’re using the email address you chose as your username, which may be different from the email address in your app+ profile.

Password: This is case-sensitive and has at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 number, and at least 8 characters. Select SHOW to see your password as you enter it.

Get username and reset password: Select Forgot username or password. You'll receive an email with your username and a link to reset your password for each app account associated with your email address. Reset the password only for the account you want to use.

If you already have a app account but are asked to register, select register and follow the instructions.

If you already have a app username and password, you’ll all set to start using app+ on any device.

You’ll use the same credentials to access:

  • app+ on a browser
  • app+ mobile app
  • eTextbooksin app+
  • Study Prep in app+
  • app.com
  • MyLab
  • Mastering
  • Revel

Note: If you purchased an eTextbook or Study Prep in the past on the US app+ site, please create a new account on the United Kingdom app.com site to make a purchase or access your products.

If you can't remember your password, you’ll need to reset it:

  • Click the Trouble signing in? link on the sign in screen
  • Tell us your email address and select Send email

If you’ve tried signing in and the page refreshes with the username and password fields empty, you need to accept app cookies in your browser.

If the problem persists, your browser might be blocking cookies. Cookies work behind the scenes to allow the app website to operate as intended.

For security reasons, if the email address you entered isn’t one you’ve used with a app product, no email will be sent.

What to do:

If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, try the following:

  1. Check your spam folder
  2. To ensure you receive password reset emails from app, update your spam filter to allow emails from <notifications@pearson.com>
  3. Resubmit the request to reset your password using a different email address than you may have used to create a app account
  4. If you are aware that a typo was made while registering your account, please chat with us through the app Virtual Assistant from wherever you are in app+.
  5. If you are attempting to register and receive the message, “You may already have an account using ______@email.com” it means you have probably used the email address to register in the past.

Managing your app+ account

To update your app+ account information:

  1. Sign in to app+ and go to my account. This is where you can update your profile, change your password, and update your payment info
  2. Select Update profile to change information like your payment method or email address. Don't forget to select Save before you leave

To change your app+ password:

  1. Select Change password from the account dropdown menu at the top of every screen.
  2. Enter your new password on the next screen and Save.

When you purchase an eTextbook in app+, you’ll access it in your library from the app+ app or on the web.You can also go to 'My learning' on pearson.com to access all your eTextbooks.

If you purchased an eTextbook, but it is not in your library, here are a few things to check:

  • Did you receive a confirmation email from us when you bought your eTextbook? If not, your purchase may not have successfully processed.
  • Did you sign in with the same username you used when you bought your eTextbook? (You can find this in your app+ welcome email.)
  • If your access term has ended, you won’t have access to your eTextbook, and it will not appear in your library. If you need to buy a new eTextbook, go to pearson.com to purchase.

Troubleshooting & browser settings

When you purchase an eTextbook, you’ll access it in your library from the app or on the web.You can also go to 'My learning' on pearson.com to access all your eTextbooks.

To sign in, you might need to enable third-party cookies or add exceptions for pi.pearsoned.com, pearsoned.com, and pearson.com.

Your browser stores background information from new pages you open, also known as cache and cookies. Websites use these for many reasons to ensure a smooth experience on the website. For the best experience, your browser needs to be set up to accept cookies (data from websites). Many common browser-related issues are solved by setting up Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer or Edge to accept third-party cookies.

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the Privacy and security section
  2. Select Cookies and other site data
  3. Scroll down to Sites that can always use cookies and select Add
  4. Type the websites listed below exactly as they appear, selecting Add after each one:
    [*.]pearson.com
    [*.]pearsoned.com
    [*.]pearsoncmg.com
  5. Close the Settings tab

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the Privacy & Security section
  2. Make sure that “Block All Cookies” is unchecked

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the Privacy & Security section
  2. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data and select Manage Exceptions
  3. In the Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data box, type the websites listed below and select Allow for each one
    • pearson.com
    • pearsoned.com
    • pearsoncmg.com
  4. Select Save Changes
  5. Close the Settings tab

  1. Open Settings, then select Cookies and site permissions
  2. In the Manage and delete cookies and site data section, turn on "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)" to unblock cookies

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the Privacy and security section
  2. Select Clear browsing data
  3. Check “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”
  4. Select Clear data
  5. Close the Settings tab

  1. Choose History, then Clear History
  2. Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the Privacy & Security section
  2. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data and select Clear Data
  3. Leave “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content” selected to clear cache and cookies from all websites
  4. Select Clear
  5. To only remove cookies for app websites, choose Manage Data in the Cookies and Site Data section
  6. Select the websites listed below. Choose Remove Selected after each one:
    1. pearson.com
    2. pearsoned.com
    3. pearsoncmg.com
  7. Select Save Changes
  8. Choose Remove

To delete all cookies:

  1. Open Settings, then select Privacy, search, and services
  2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear
  3. Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared
  4. Check “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”
  5. Select Clear now
